Repairing a broken or cracked windshield is easy when you have comprehensive GEICO auto insurance.
“Our customers are pleased to offer them a free windshield repair service,” said John Little, GEICO Vice President Assistant. “With comprehensive coverage of your policy, we refuse to reduce the amount of damages that can be recovered.”
If you have a small chip, hole or crack in your windshield, we can send a professional repair technician to your home or office. Just call us or log in to the GEICO Mobile app, we will fulfill all the necessary arrangements.
“Repairing the windshield protects its structural integrity,” says Little. “Damage can be repaired as soon as possible to prevent the spread of a chip or crack.” Chips must be less than a quarter, and cracks must be less than a dollar to repair.
Why use GEICO windshield repair?
- Suitable for. You do not have free time or rent a car until the windshield is repaired. The technician will come to your home or workplace and will do the repairs on the spot.
- It’s fast. The windshield is repaired while you wait. In most cases, this means about 30 minutes.
- It’s cheap. The reduced amount for front window repairs is deducted if you wear a comprehensive cover.
- You can avoid other problems. Replacing the windshield instead of repairing it involves breaking the original factory seal. This can make the windshield wipers more leaky, which can lead to additional problems.
- You can help protect the environment. Because the laminate layer is fused to the glass pane, it is more difficult to process. Repairing your existing windshield is not a problem.
“This is the first time I have used the online service, I demanded to replace my windshield. After a terrible day using this online lawsuit service, which was simple, fast, easy, it really made everything so much better, the weight was lifted off my shoulders. I’m excited to know that I’m insured, my house is serviced. Since a new baby is coming in just a few weeks, I did not think I could afford a replacement. I’m glad to know my family will be safe, I do not need to worry. Thank you very much for this wonderful service. ”

Beware of fraudulent “glass repair technicians”
Filing a glass with an insurer may seem like a daunting task, but it’s better than trusting someone else.
When it comes to repairing or replacing your car windshield, ethics service contractors expect you to file a lawsuit yourself. Other contractors, sometimes referred to as “glass repair technicians”, may try to force you to sign a Benefit Assignment (AOB) form so that they can file a claim on your behalf. The resulting actions can make your personal data vulnerable և increase your premium.
What does a glass repair technician do?
A glass repair technician is a contractor who approaches you and says he or she can take care of your car glass on your behalf. They often approach you at gas stations, car washes or other public places where they can see your car. In order to take legal ownership of your claim, they force you to sign the AOB form և to collect your personal information without fully explaining what they are doing. On the surface, they seem to be asking for your insurance information, fixing your car, and raising money from GEICO without much effort on your part.
What is the catch?
You give your contractors the right to charge the insurance company what they want on your behalf. These high costs may not come out of your pocket, but they can increase your premium rates when you add money to your account. In addition, when you sign your claim against a contractor, you provide them with your personal information. This could lead to the misuse of your personal information and the possible theft of your identity. Not all contractors are involved in this fraudulent activity, but you should not take any risks.
What should I do instead?
If your car window is damaged, you can claim your glass online through the GEICO Mobile app or by calling 1-800-510-2291.. GEICO recommends reputable Safelite auto glass specialists, but you can choose other repair service shops according to your policy.
